Terms and conditions

The following general terms and conditions apply for all trade with (purchase from) The Royal Library's webshop, unless other is stipulated.

The Royal  Library will do its utmost  to provide correct information about the products. Errors, however, may occur, and our offers are subject to the proviso that prices and producy descriptions are correct and goods unsold.Should you, however, find faults in the products or encounter problems obtaining special discounts and offers, please contact us on


  • Following credit cards are accepted with no extra charges: Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, JBC Union Pay, and American Express. On payment, an overview of your purchase will appear. If the information in this overview is correct, click 'pay'. All prices are inclusive of WAT. We make reservations against printing errors and goods not in stock.


Dispatch and delivery

  • As a main rule, the goods are forwarded through the Danish Postal services.
  • Carrying charges are paid for by the purchaser and are included in the the total amount shown on the payment page.
  • The goods will be dispatced within one week, though normally witin three workdays, subject unsold.
  • Your purchase will be dispatched immediately upon registration of your payment.


Right of withdrawal and return of goods

  • You have 14 days to withdraw your order after receipt of the goods. If you regret your purchase, the goods must be returned no later than 14 days upon receipt. Expences to be paid by you.
  • In order to return goods, the items must be intact, unused and, in the same condition as when received. All original packaging must be included. Goods to be returned must be securely and adecquately wrapped.
  • Used articles cannot be returned.
  • If you avail yourself of your right of withdrawal, your money will be refunded as soon as we have received the package and had the possibility to examine the returned goods.The money will be transferred to your bank accout, so please remember to inform us of your account number when returning goods. Also, please let us know your reason for regretting your purchase. Please include the dispach note.
  • Expenses in connection with returning the of goods to are covered by you. When returning goods, the price of the purchased item including any extra charged will be refunded. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Registration of information

  • We take protction of all personal information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address or telephone number very seriously.
  • will keep information concerning the purchase, i.e. your name, address and invoice in our files for five years, in accordance with Danish legislation. The information will not be passed on to a third party.
  • In cases where merely acts as intermediary, the information will be passed on to our business partner for effectuation of your order. The information will only  be used for effectuation of your order.
  • use log files on the webpage. The purpose of these log files is to register the choices made by the user, and the paths used. This information will not be sold to a third party but solely used for optimising the webpage.
  • When paying by credit card, all information is registerd on a secure server, where it will be scrambled during money transfer.



  • In case of delays or faulty goods, please direct your complaint to the address or phone number below.
  • If your complaint concerns faulty goods, it must be submitted within reasonable time after you have discovered the fault, or should have discoverered it upon normal checking of the purchased item. You can make the complaint in writing or orally. In accordance whith the Sale of Goods Act, article 83, 1, your right to make any claims lapses two years after receipt of the goods.
  • When a complaint about a faulty article is submitted to, it will be dealt with soonest possible. We will decide whether to repair or replace the item or, if the customer agrees, to give a price reduction. Always remember to state your reason for making the complaint.
  • Your right to complain only applies if  the article has been used in the normal, designated way and not been damaged by wrongful use.
  • When making a complaint, please send an e-mail to or call 3347 4747 on workdays between 09.00  and 16.00.
  • Remember always to return the articles carefully wrapped, and to get a receipt in order for us to refund your expences if your claim is admitted.
  • Reservations against price errors, goods not in stock, etc.



  • In order to trade from you must be minimum 18 years old and agree to the above terms and conditions
  • cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by the Danish Postal services or any other supplyer of transportation.
  • has no liability in case of suspension of payments, bankruptcy, or cancellation of events, or other complaints concerning events to which tickets have been bought.
  • cannot be held responsible for delays or virus incurred as a result of use of e-mail or downloads.
  • is subject to any laws and regulations concerning product liabilty, at any time in force in Denmark or EU.
  • Any disputes and legal proceedings must be be decided by a Danish court of law, in accordance with Danish legislation.
